Abstract:

Objective :To study the clinical features of neonates with cytomegalovirus infection, and to observe clinical effect of ganciclovir(GCV) in the treatment of neonatal cytomegalovirus infection.
Methods :Forty cases of neonates in our hospital with cytomegalovirus infection were collected from January 2011 to October 2015. The patients with multiple organ damage were treated with ganciclovir injection,5 mg/kg per time, once every 12 hours, continuously for 14 days; then 7.5 mg/kg per time, once a day, continuously for 4 weeks. Analyse the clinical features and efficacy.
Results :The 40 neonates were diverse in clinical manifestations, with single or multiple organ damage. The multiple organ damage accounted for 72.5%. Of them, 10 were healed(34.5%), 13 were clearly better(44.8%),5 were better(17.2%),and 1 had no effect.
Conclusion :The clinical manifestations of neonates with cytomegalovirus infection are not special. Education for women of childbearing age, prenatal examination and neonatal screening are important measures in preventing neonates with cytomegalovirus infection. The effect of ganciclovir(GCV) in the treatment of neonatal cytomegalovirus infection is satisfactory.
