Abstract: Objective:To explore the effect of closed reduction and modified lateral cross Kirschner wire internal fixation in the treatment of children with supracondylar fractures of the humerus and its influence on the function of the elbow joint. Methods:A total of 85 children with supracondylar fractures of the humerus who were admitted to our hospital from February 2018 to February 2019 were selected as the research subjects. According to the operation method, they were divided into 42 cases in the control group and 43 cases in the observation group. The control group received closed reduction and internal and lateral cross Kirschner wire internal fixation, and the observation group received closed reduction and modified lateral cross Kirschner wire internal fixation, and the therapeutic effects were compared. Results:The operation effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group. The time of operation, hospitalization and fracture healing was shorter than that of the control group. The degree of active movement of elbow joint and forearm was larger than that of the control group. The incidence of postoperative complications was lower than that of the control group. The difference in all the above aspects was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Closed reduction and modified lateral cross Kirschner wire internal fixation can shorten the operation time in children with supracondylar fractures of the humerus, promote postoperative recovery, improve elbow joint function, and improve the surgical effect with fewer adverse reactions.
