Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the effect of Chiqiao Qingre granules combined with cefuroxime in the treatment of acute respiratory tract infection(ARTI) in children and its influence on inflammatory factors.MethodsA total of 103 children with ARTI admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected and divided into observation group(treated with Chiqiao Qingre granules combined with cefuroxime,n=52) and control group(treated with cefuroxime,n=51) according to different treatment methods.The clinical curative effect and symptom disappearance time of the two groups were observed,and the inflammatory factors,immune function and the incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.ResultsAfter treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was 90.4%(47/52),significantly higher than that of the control group(70.6%,36/51)(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the disappearance time of fever and other symptoms,such as cough,dry throat,running nose and chest pain,in the observation group was significantly shorter(P<0.05).The levels of serum interleukin-6(IL-6),serum amyloid A(SAA),C-reactive protein(CRP) and procalcitonin(PCT) in the two groups were reduced,and the level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The Th1 and Th1/Th2 in the two groups were increased,and the Th1/Th2 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The Th2 in both groups was decreased,and the Th2 in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionChiqiao Qingre granules combined with cefuroxime is more effective in treating ARTI in children,which can speed up the disappearance of symptoms,relieve the body′s inflammatory response,and maintain immune balance,and it is safe and reliable.
