Guide for Authors
Chinese Pediatrics of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine is a national academic journal supervised by the National Health Commission, and sponsored by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Liaoning Institute of Basic Medicine, and the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is openly distributed domestically and internationally (ISSN 1674-3865, CN 21-1569/R), with the domestic postal distribution code 8-162.
The journal invites related articles and the following submission requirements apply:
1. Manuscripts should be scientific, practical, and innovative. Articles should have clear arguments, highlight key points, include reliable data, and have strong logical coherence. Original research articles and reviews should generally not exceed 6,000 words (including abstracts, figures, tables, and references). Other manuscripts should be no less than 3,000 words. References should generally include more than 15 sources.
2. Manuscripts must include the author's affiliation (specific department), address, and postal code. The first author's name (birth year), gender, title, primary research focus, and contact details (phone number, email) should also be included.
3. Titles should be concise and reflect the main theme of the article, generally not exceeding 20 Chinese characters. If the article is funded by national or military, provincial, or ministerial research projects, please note the project number at the bottom of the first page and attach a copy of the funding certificate. Articles funded by natural science foundations at provincial, ministerial, or higher levels (including provincial level) and research projects at all levels will be given priority for publication once they pass the review, and the author's remuneration will be higher.
4. Manuscripts should be written in both Chinese and English and include the following sections: title, author affiliations, keywords, and abstract. The abstract should be written according to the "four elements" format: Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Author names should be written in pinyin. The Chinese abstract should not exceed 300 words. Keywords should be selected from the latest edition of the MEDLINE and should generally be 3-8 terms per article. Data in the manuscript must undergo necessary statistical processing and provide corresponding test values (e.g., t, F, χ2, P-values). The numbering of the main body should not be excessive, and all levels should be numbered with Arabic numerals (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.1.1). Figures and tables should be minimal yet precise. Photographs should be clear and include magnification markings. Tables must be scientific, clear, concise, and self-explanatory, following the three-line table format. All figures and tables must have titles. References should be from formally published sources that the author has personally read, with a preference for recent publications (within the last five years). The reference list should use a sequential coding system, and the references should be cited at the appropriate places in the text, indicated in the upper right corner. The citation format should follow GB/T 3179-2, as outlined below:
Journal: First three authors, et al. Title [J]. Journal Name, Year, Volume (Issue): Start page - End page.
Book: First three authors, et al. Book Title [M]. Edition. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year: Start page - End page.
For more details, you can download the Manuscript Template from the journal's homepage download center.
5. The content of the manuscript is the author's responsibility. The editorial office reserves the right to edit or modify submissions. If the author disagrees with such edits, this must be stated in advance. This journal is included by CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and Wanfang. If the author disagrees with the inclusion of their article in these databases, they should declare this when submitting, and the editorial office will handle it accordingly. Whether a submission is accepted for publication will be determined by the editorial board. If no feedback is received within 6 months, authors may handle the manuscript on their own. The journal does not return manuscripts. Authors should keep copies of their work. Do not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
6. After receiving the review fee, the journal will provide a review result within 2 to 4 weeks. If the manuscript is accepted, it will generally be published within 4 to 6 months. To better serve authors, the journal offers an "expedited processing" service to meet authors' needs and publish the article in the shortest time possible. Upon publication, two copies of the current issue will be provided to the author.
7. A review fee of 30 yuan is required for submitted manuscripts. After the manuscript is accepted, a page charge of 600 yuan per 1000 words will be charged. Upon publication, the journal will pay the remuneration and provide two copies of the current issue.
8. Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author must sign a copyright transfer agreement.
The journal uses an online submission system. The only submission website is: http://www.zxek.net. Authors should click "Online Submission" and follow the steps to submit their manuscript. The journal no longer accepts paper or email submissions. In special cases, authors can contact the editorial office.
