    Some problems in the diagnosis and treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia

    Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a common cause of community-acquired pneumonia(CAP) in children and its infections often occur in dense-populated areas. Since the signs and symptoms of M. pneumonia infection are often non-specific, laboratory examination is very important to clinical diagnosis. Macrolide(ML) antibiotics are recognized generally as first-choice agents for Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. In 2000, Mycoplasma pneumoniae showing resistance to macrolides was isolated from clinical samples obtained from Japanese pediatric patients,Since then, prevalence of ML resistant Mycoplasma pneumoniae isolates in pediatric patients has increased rapidly. More and more cases of severe MPP and refractory MPP have been reported, which have been a great threat to the health of children. This paper summarized the progress and the existing questions we have encountered in the diagnosis and treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection, which we hope to be helpful to pediatric clinicians.

    The morbidity of Mycoplasma pneunoniae pneumonia(MPP) has increased year by year, and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) shows certain advantage in preventing MPP. As single pathogenic factors, heat, dryness, phlegm, stasis and deficiency can induce MPP; in the meantime, numerous factors can be pathogenic in a combined way. Heat, phlegm and stasis may interact with each other as both cause and effect and accumulate during the lesion process, which may produce toxin, resulting in severe pneumonia. Based on the etiological and pathogenetic factors of MPP, many famous physicians treat MPP through syndrome differentiation from various points of view, and have attained excellent therapeutic effects. This paper concluded the experience of the contemporary masters in treating MPP, with an aim to provide effective basis for treating MPP, develop thoughts, and establish foundation for standardizing and perfecting the MPP syndrome differentiation and treatment system.

    Effect of Fuling nutrient mixture on the body weight, blood fat and histopathology of the immature rats with simple obesity

    Objective:To observe the effect of Fuling nutrient mixture on the body weight, blood fat and histopathology of the immature rats with simple obesity, and explore the new way of healing the simple obesity.
    Methods:Divide the 40 one-month rats into four groups, including Fuling group(Fuling+normal diet), Fuling nutrient mixture group(Fuling+vitamin B1, vitamin B2+normal diet), model control group(normal diet) and blank control group(normal diet), each group with 10 rats. Feed the first three groups with high fat diet for 6 weeks, and make the models. Observe the following indicators of the rats:body weight, body fat, blood fat and histopathology.
    Results:(1)For the two groups of young rats, Fuling(Fuling+normal diet) and Fuling nutrient mixture group(Fuling+vitamin B1,B2+normal diet), compared with the model control group, body fat content was of no statistically significant difference(P>0.05), but there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05) in body quality growth. Between these two groups body quality growth and body fat content were of no significant difference in statistics.(2)Triglyceride(TG) levels of those two groups and the blank control group were lower than those of model control group, the difference being significant in statistics(P<0.01).High density lipoprotein(HDL-C) level of the two groups was higher than that of the model group, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05). There were no differences(P>0.05) in either triglyceride(TG) levels or high density lipoprotein(HDL-C) levels between those two groups. Compared with the model group,total cholesterol(TC) levels and low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C) levels of those two groups remained no significant difference(P>0.05) in statistics.(3)Histopathologic morphology of the liver tissues of the two groups after treatment was close to normal.
    Conclusion:Fuling can decrease the weight and the triglyceride of the rats with simple obesity, increase the high-density lipoprotein, and recover the physiomorphology of the liver.

    Development and growth of female rats in early puberty with adriamycin-induced nephropathy

    Objective:To observe the development and growth of female SD rats in early puberty with adriamycin-induced nephropathy.
    Methods:Ten SPF female SD rats, 4-week old, were randomly divided into experimental(5 rats) and control group(5 rats). The rats in experimental group were injected with adriamycin via the tail vein at the dosage of 6.5 mg/kg; the rats in the control group were injected with normal saline via the tail vein. The body weight, uterine wet weight, head-tail length, and tibia length were measured and 24h urinary protein was determined once a week for 4 weeks after injection. Ultrastructural change of podocytes was observed by transmission electron microscope. Serum level of estradiol(E2), luteinizing hormone(LH), follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1), and insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3(IGFBP-3) were measured by radioimmunoassay.
    Results:Urinary protein of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group at the 4th week after adriamycin injection(P<0.05). Podocyte foot process effacement was extensive at the 4th week after adriamycin injection. Body weight of the experimental group was more significantly decreased than that of the control group at 2nd, 3rd and 4th week after adriamycin injection than that of the control group(P<0.05). Head-tail length of the experimental group was significantly reduced compared with the control group(P<0.05) at the 4th week after adriamycin injection, while tibia length and uterine wet weight showed no significant reduction after adriamycin injection compared with the control group(P>0.05). The serum level of LH, FSH, E2, IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 in the experiment group at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th week after adriamycin injection was not significantly changed compared with the control group(P>0.05).
    Conclusion:Female SD rats in early puberty with adriamycin-induced nephropathy do not have obvious growth and development retardation; serum growth hormone and sex hormones are not significantly reduced.

    Changes of Th17 cells in peripheral blood and the ratio of sIgA/ALB in saliva in children with recurrent respiratory tract infection and their significance

    Objective:To observe and explore the significance and changes of Th17 cells in peripheral blood and ratio of sIgA/ALB in human saliva.
    Methods:A total of 100 RRTIs children were divided into two groups: acute group(n=50) and remission group(n=50).Another 50 normal healthy children were included as the control group. The expression rate of Th17 cells was detected by flow cytometry, the expression rate of sIgA in saliva was detected by enzymatic-reader,and the ALB was detected by immune turbidity method.
    Results:The circulating frequencies of Th17 cells in acute and remission group were higher than those in healthy control group(P<0.05), while those in acute group were higher than those in remission group(P<0.05).There were significantly difference in these groups(P<0.05). The circulating frequencies of Th17 cells were positively correlated with the severity of recurrent respiratory tract infection(P<0.05). The ratio of sIgA and serum albumin in saliva in healthy control group was significantly higher than that of acute group and remission group in RRTIs children(P<0.05),but that was no significant difference between acute and remission group(P>0.05).
    Conclusion:The circulating frequencies of Th17 cells in RRTIs children are increased, and are positively correlated with the severity of the RRTIs. The function of mucosal immune function in RRTIs children is low, so enhancing the immune function of the respiratory tract can fundamentally reduce the attack of RRTIs.

    Observation on the effect of combined treatment of lung surface active substance with mechanical ventilation for neonatal pulmonary hemorrhage

    Objective:To study the effect of combined treatment of lung surface active substance with mechanical ventilation for neonatal pulmonary hemorrhage.
    Methods:Totally 102 neonates with neonatal pulmonary hemorrhage were randomly assigned into the control group (51 cases, given endotracheal injection of blood clotting enzyme and epinephrine) and the observation group (51 cases, given endotracheal injection of blood clotting enzyme and lung surface active substance). Pulmonary bleeding areas, pulmonary hemorrhage duration, mechanical ventilation duration, and adverse reactions were observed respectively at 6 hours,12 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours after treatment.
    Results:Twelve hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours after treatment, the difference of pulmonary hemorrhage areas in the two groups were statistically significant compared with that before treatment in both groups(P<0.05).The pulmonary hemorrhage areas of the observation group at 12 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours after treatment were much smaller than the control group, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05). Pulmonary hemorrhage duration and mechanical ventilation duration were significantly shorter than the control group(P<0.05).The cure rate of the observation group(84.31%,4-3/51) was significantly higher than that of control group(66.67%,34/51)(P<0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups.
    Conclusion:The combined treatment of mechanical ventilation with lung surface active substances can significantly reduce the lung bleeding areas, shorten the duration of pulmonary hemorrhage and mechanical ventilation, and improve the cure rate.

    Clinical study of mandibular movement disorders in children with cerebral palsy

    Objective:To understand the situation of mandibular movement disorders in children with different types of cerebral palsy(CP).
    Methods:Choose 4-3 cases of different types of cerebral palsy who had been in the Cerebral Palsy Prevention and Treatment Center of Heilongjiang Province from June 2014 to June 2015 as the observation group, including 18 cases of mixed type and dyskinetic type, 25 cases of spastic type. At the same time, 40 normal children in a kindergarten in Jiamusi were selected as the control group. Mandibular Movement Function Evaluation Questionnaire was used to observe, evaluate and record the mandibular movement ability of the children.
    Results:The scores of the observation group and the control group had statistically significant difference(P<0.05,0.01). Compared with the control group, the mandibular movement test scores of the mixed and dyskinetic type group had statistically significant difference(P<0.05,0.01). Compared with the control group, except that mandibular protrusion movement and the left and right movement test scores had no statistically significant difference(P>0.05), other differences in the mandibular movement test scores were statistically significant(P<0.01) in the spastic group. Compared with spastic group, except that mandibular anterior extension evaluating score was not statistically significant(P>0.05), other differences in the mandibular movement test scores were statistically significant(P<0.01) in the mixed and dyskinetic group, and the scores of the spastic group were higher than the mixed and dyskinetic group.
    Conclusion:Mandibular movement disorder is a kind of articulation organ movement disorder in children with cerebral palsy, and there are significant differences in the form and severity in children with different types of mandibular movement disorders.

    Effect of Sangju Yin on sputum IL-6 and IL-17 levels in the children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection with wind-heat cough

    Objective:To observe sputum IL-6 and IL-17 level changes in the wind-heat cough children diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia infection before and after treatment with Sangju Yin.
    Methods:The 80 cases of wind-heat cough children diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia infection were randomly divided into control group(n=40) and Chinese medicine group(n=40).Two groups were infused azithromycin and aerosolized 3% hypertonic saline water for inducing sputum. In addition,traditional Chinese medicine group was given Sangju Yin and ELISA test was used to measure the induced sputum supernatant IL-6 and IL-17 levels before treatment and 7 days after treatment.
    Results:Compared with control group, the levels of IL-6 and IL-17 in traditional Chinese medicine group were significantly decreased, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.01).
    Conclusion:Sangju Yin can reduce IL-6 and IL-17 levels in induced sputum supernatant of the wind-heat cough children with mycoplasma pneumonia infection, improve the inflammatory reaction, and plays a role in the treatment.

    Research progress on risk factors related to child obesity

    In the past 30 years, the rate of child obesity has shown an increasing trend in developed and developing countries, which has severely affected the physical and mental health of children. The causes of child obesity are complex. Despite that inheritance is the important factor that influences the occurrence and development of obesity, the main reason causing the obesity comes from non-genetic factors, mainly including the education of parents, the recognition and attitude of tenders to obesity, the increasing weight of mothers in the pregnancy period and feeding method, dietary behaviors, exercising behaviors, the time spent on viewing the screen, sleeping behaviors and mental factors, etc.

    Application value analysis of Runfei Zhike decoction in the treatment of infantile cough variant asthma

    Objective:To analyze clinical value of Runfei Zhike decoction in the treatment of infantile cough variant asthma.
    Methods:Totally 106 cases of cough variant asthma(CVA) who was admitted to the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from April 2013 to December 2015 have been selected in this study and were randomly divided into control group and observation group, each group with 53 cases. The control group was treated with montelukast sodium and oral loratadine, and the observation group was treated with self-made Runfei Zhike decoction; the patients of the two groups were treated continuously for 7 days. Observe the clinical efficacy of the two groups, the symptom score, interleukin IL-2 and leukocyte interleukin 6 levels before and after treatment; observe the adverse reactions during the treatment.
    Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.2%(51/53), which was significantly higher than that of the control group(75.5%,40/53),and the difference was statistical(P<0.01).The clinical symptoms score and the levels of interleukin 2 and 6 were all lower after treatment than before, and there was statistical difference(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:Runfei Zhike decoction is very effective in the treatment of children with cough variant asthma, with the clinical symptoms significantly improved, so it is worth popularization in clinics.

    Clinical significance of serum level of vitamin A and vitamin D in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus

    Objective:To analyze the level of serum vitamin A and vitamin D in children with T1DM and its clinical significance.
    Methods:From February 2012 to January 2015 in Pediatrics Department of Nanyang Central Hospital,45 children with T1DM were selected as T1DM group,27 cases with DKA| 38 healthy children undergoing physical examination at the same time period were selected as control group. The level of vitamin A and vitamin D were detected by ELISA.
    Results:The level of serum vitamin A and vitamin D in T1DM group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05). The level of serum vitamin A and vitamin D had no significant differences in children with simple T1DM and children combined with DKA(P>0.05).
    Conclusion:Timely and adequate supplement of vitamin A and vitamin D may reduce or delay the onset of T1DM in children.

    Objective:To discuss the therapeutic effect of combined intervention with deep protolysate formula milk powder and medilac-vita on atopic dermatitis caused by cow's milk protein allergy.
    Methods:Totally 110 cases that had been hospitalized in our hospital due to atopic dermatitis caused by cow's milk protein allergy from December 2012 to December 2015 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into the research group and the control group, with 55 cases in each group. The control group stopped the former formula milk power and changed to the deep protolysate formula milk powder; while medilac-vita was added to the research group on the basis of the milk powder for control group. The treatment lasted for 4 weeks.
    Results:After treatment, SCORAD score of the research group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the total effective rate of the research group (81.82%) was higher than that of the control group (58.18%), both differences being statistical(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:Combined intervention with deep protolysate formula milk powder and medilac-vita has significant effect on patients with atopic dermatitis caused by cow's milk protein allergy, so it has clinical popularization value.

    Clinical features of bronchial tuberculosis in children

    Objective:To study the clinical features of bronchial tuberculosis in children.
    Methods:A total of 32 children with bronchial tuberculosis were admitted to Shenyang Chest Hospital from March 2007 to March 2013. The clinical data of these patients were analyzed to summarize the clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of bronchial tuberculosis.
    Results:(1)There were 32 cases of childhood bronchial tuberculosis, who aged 7 to 14 years. Before the definite diagnosis, 32 cases were misdiagnosed, and the time varied from 2 weeks to one year. Fifteen cases had definite diagnosis and 17 cases received clinically diagnostic antituberculous treatment.(2)Clinical manifestation: there were 21 cases of fever and 7 cases of wheezing rale.(3) Totally 32 cases had abnormal X-ray; lung CT showed bronchial lymphoid tuberculosis in 10 cases and bronchial abnormalities in 9 cases. (4) Fiberoptic bronchoscopy revealed that there were 32 cases of bronchial tuberculosis.(5)The positive rate in etiological examination was 37.5%(12/32).(6)The positive expression rate of tuberculin test was 59.4%(19/32) in the disease course. (7)Totally 32 cases received antituberculous treatment, of which 30 were cured while 2 were lost.
    Conclusion:Childhood bronchial tuberculosis has atypical clinical manifestations, and it is difficult to be diagnosed with high misdiagnosis rate and missed-diagnosis rate. The long disease course and bad compliance in treatment have direct influence on its prognosis. Early detection and diagnosis and timely treatment are essential to controlling the disease progress, reducing the occurrence of bronchial tuberculosis, relieving the clinical symptoms, reducing and preventing complications, increasing the cure rate and improving the prognosis.

    Effects of visual music therapy on language rehabilitation in children with mental retardation

    Objective:To discuss the effects of visual music therapy on language rehabilitation in children with mental retardation.
    Methods:Eighty children with mental retardation treated in Child Rehabilitation Department of our hospital from March 2013 to March 2015 were divided into observation group(40 cases) and control group(40 cases); control group received comprehensive training of language cognition, and observation group received visual music therapy combined with comprehensive training of language cognition. Both groups received 2 courses of continuous treatment with 3 months as a course. Tests were performed with Beijing Gesell Scale for Children of 0~6 Years Old before and 2 courses after treatment to evaluate language development quotient(DQ) and development months, and language function improvement was observed.
    Results:After treatment, DQ in most cases of both groups was improved, but it was reduced to different extent in 4 cases of observation group and 14 cases in the control group. The DQ after treatment was better than that before treatment in the observation group, and there was statistical difference(P<0.05).The development month of both groups was better after treatment than before treatment, and the difference was statistical(P<0.05).After treatment, the DQ and language development month were both higher in the observation group than in the control group, the difference being statistical(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:Visual music intervention combined with language training can better improve the language function of children with mental retardation.

    Application of serum lactate dehydrogenase in children with refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia

    Objective:To assess the application value of serum lactate dehydrogenase in children with refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP).
    Methods:Fourteen pediatric patients with refractory MPP hospitalized in Erdos Central Hospital from January 2012 to November 2014 were included as the observation group, and 42 pediatric patients with MPP who responded to antibiotics treatment promptly during the same period in Erdos City Central Hospital as the control group. All patients received blood tests on admission,including routine blood test, C-reactive protein, alanine aminotransferase(ALT), aspartate aminotransferase(AST), serum lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), and interleukin(IL)-6 levels. For those who didn't respond to Macrolide antibiotic treatment after 7 days and were considered to be with refractory MPP, the above-mentioned lab tests were performed again, and glucocorticoid combination therapy was used, Sou-medrol 2 mg/(kg·d),for 3 days in a row. The rests were performed again 3 days after treatment and on discharge from hospital, including blood routine, C-reactive protein and biochemical indexes.
    Results:The results of laboratory tests were not statistically different between the two groups at admission. Serum LDH, ALT, AST and IL-6 levels were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group on day 7 before corticosteroid use(P<0.05). Significant positive correlation was found between serum values of IL-6 and LDH. A serum LDH level of 390 IU/L was calculated from receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. The sensitivity, specificity and the area under ROC curve were 78.57%, 100% and 0.81 at this level. The serum levels of LDH in the observation group were decreased to normal range after effective treatment with antibiotics combined with glucocorticoid.
    Conclusion:MPP children who have prolonged fever and deterioration of clinical and radiological findings despite administration of Macrolides antibiotics for at least 7 days, with LDH more than 390 IU/L, may receive combined glucocorticoids treatment as early as possible.

    Clinical effect observation on Pidotimod solution in the treatment of children with recurrent respiratory infection

    Objective:To study the clinical effect of Pidotimod solution in the treatment of children with recurrent respiratory infection.
    Methods:Totally 80 children with recurrent respiratory infection treated from May 2014 to May 2015 in our hospital were selected. The patients were equally divided into control group and test group. Both groups received the conventional therapy. The test group was also given Pidotimod solution. The curative effect of two groups was observed.
    Results:The curative effect of test group was better than control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the level of IL-6 and IL-10 in test group was much lower, while the level of IFN-γ of test group was much higher(P<0.05). After treatment, the level of IgE of test group was much lower, while the level of IgA and IgG of test group was much higher(P<0.05).The time for infection to disappear, the infection frequency and the duration of antibiotic use were much shorter in the test group(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:Pidotimod solution has an obvious effect on children with recurrent respiratory infection. It is worthy of promotion.

    A comparative analysis of two different methods for detection of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in children

    Objective:To compare the serum Mycoplasma pneumoniae antibody ELISA test with indirect blood coagulation test method, and to explore the high cost-effective method in laboratory diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection.
    Methods:Totally 352 cases of bronchial pneumonia in children hospitalized in Department of Paediatrics of Children's Hospital of Hunan Province from December 2013 to January 2015 were included, and respiratory secretions and serum were made ELISA and indirect hemagglutination test, and serum was isolated and cultured. The separate culture was regarded as the gold standard for the detection. ELISA and indirect hemagglutination test were compared on diagnosis effect.
    Results:The sensitivity of indirect hemagglutination test method was 97.5%(159/163), significantly higher than that of ELISA(86.5%,141/163)(P<0.05); The specificity of ELISA method for the detection was 91.5%(173/189), significantly higher than indirect hemagglutination method(70.9%,134/189), the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05). The diagnostic efficiency of ELISA detection method was 89.2%, the Kappa index being 0.782; the diagnostic efficiency of indirect hemagglutination method was 83.2%, and the Kappa index was 0.670. The diagnostic efficiency of the two methods was similar, and the Kappa index was in a high degree of consistency.
    Conclusion:ELISA test and indirect blood coagulation test method have their own advantage, so the laboratory can choose the appropriate method according to the clinical diagnosis.

    Objective:To summarize the clinical feature of pediatric urticaria who started with gastrointestinal discomfort, and improve diagnosis and treatment level.
    Methods:Totally 56 cases child urticaria who started with gastrointestinal discomfort were analyzed, and the general information, clinical manifestation, auxiliary examination were carefully recorded.
    Results:There were 31 male patients and 25 female; the gastrointestinal discomfort included abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain with vomiting and abdominal pain with fever, and the case number was 27,12,7,4 and 6, respectively. There were 33 cases of increase showed rising too in WBC, neutrophils and CRP,18 cases of increase in CRP, and 42 cases in eosinophilic granulocyte. There was nothing abnormal shown in abdominal ultrasonography and X-ray. Parasite eggs were not found in stool, but the Mp was positive in one case.
    Conclusion:The pediatric urticaria that shows up as gastrointestinal discomfort firstly is not uncommon. Patients should be asked the medical history carefully and receive a detailed physical examination. In the case of exclusion of surgical acute abdomen, antiallergic, anti-infection, spasmolysis and other symptomatic treatment should be performed.

    Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yinzhihuang granules, Bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets and Phenobarbital pills combined with blue light therapy on early neonatal jaundice.
    Methods:Totally 192 cases of neonates were randomly divided into 3 groups: group A was given Yinzhihuang granules and Bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets; group B was added Phenobarbital pills on the basis of group A; group C was given blue light therapy on the basis of group B. The treatment lasted for 5~7 d. Observe the percutaneous bilirubin value changes after treatment.
    Results:Comparing the value before and 1~3 days after treatment in the three groups, the difference was of no statistical significance(P>0.05).The difference had statistical significance at 4~7 days after treatment(P<0.05):group C was much lower than group A and B(P<0.01);group B was significantly lower than group A(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 98.4%(63/64) in group C, significantly higher than group A(76.6%,49/64) and group B(81.2%,51/64),the difference being statistical(P<0.017).The total effective rate was not statistically different between group A and B(P>0.017).No adverse reactions occurred in the 3 groups.
    Conclusion:Early combination use of Yinzhihuang granules, Bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets, Phenobarbital pills and blue light therapy has good curative effect in the treatment of neonatal jaundice.

    Objective:To explore the effect of botulinum toxin A combined with plaster cast on the gross motor function of spasmodic double paralysis.
    Methods:A total of 40 children with spasmodic double paralysis hospitalized in Xiamen Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital from Jan. 2013 to Oct. 2014 were included in the study, and they were randomly divided into two groups:observation group(20 cases) and control group(20 cases). Control group was treated only with botulinum toxin A injection followed by rehabilitation training. Observation group was given with botulinum toxin A combined with 3 weeks of plaster cast, and then rehabilitation training was carried out after removing the plaster. GMFM-88 was used to make evaluation of zone D and zone E before treatment and 1,3 and 6 months after treatment.
    Results:Zone D and E was different 1,3 and 6 months after treatment by GMFM-88 in the observation group, compared with that before treatment, the difference being statistical(P<0.01). Zone D and E showed statistical difference 3 and 6 months after treatment in the control group compared with before treatment(P<0.01). Zone D and E showed statistical difference between observation and control group 1,3 and 6 months after treatment(P<0.01).
    Conclusion:Botulinum toxin A injection combined with plaster cast is effective in treating pointed foot deformity of spasmodic double paralysis, and it can reduce muscle tone, improve motion function and effectively improve gross motion function, which is better than single use of botulinum toxin A.

    Objective:To study the clinical effect of Monosialotetrahexosylganglioside in treatment of the neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE).
    Methods:Totally 108 HIE neonates were randomly divided into control group(54 cases) and treatment group(54 cases). The control group was given the following routine treatment: lowering the intracranial pressure, keeping the water and dielectric balance, control convulsion, and maintaining good ventilation. The observation group was given the same treatment; in addition, monosialotetrahexosylganglioside was given by intravenous dripping, once a day, for 10 days continuously. Observe the therapeutic effect of the two groups as well as the NBNA score and the recovery of clinical signs(sucking, primary reflex, muscle tone and consciousness).
    Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.6%(50/54), significantly higher than that of the control group(75.9%,41/54)(P<0.05). The recovery time of observation group was significantly shorter than the control group(P<0.05). NBNA score was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group after treatment.
    Conclusion:For HIE neonates, monosialotetrahexosylganglioside can efficiently promote the recovery of neurological function, shorten the clinical treatment time, and improve the clinical treatment effect, which is worthy of promotion and application.

    Objective:To observe the clinical effect of external triple therapy of TCM(Infantile tuina, Moxibustion of Yu acupoints and acupoint application) in the treatment of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection(RRTI).
    Methods:A total of 90 cases of RRTI who were treated in the TCM Institute of Sichuan Provincial Academy of TCM From April to October 2015, were randomly divided into control group(45 cases) and observation group(45 cases). The observation group was given external triple therapy, while the control group was treated by Helao oral liquid. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.Observe the clinical effect, the improvement of major and minor symptoms and the changes of immunoglobulin.
    Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 91.1% (41/45), significantly higher than the control group(73.3%,33/45)(P<0.05). The scores of major and minor symptoms were lower after treatment than before treatment in both groups with statistical difference(P<0.05). The IgG, IgA and IgM were all higher after treatment than before, and the difference was of statistical significance(P<0.05). After treatment, IgG, IgA and IgM were higher in the observation group than in the control group, and the difference was statistical(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:The clinical effect of external triple therapy is better than Helao oral liquid in the treatment of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection, and the effect is quite good,so it is worthy of clinical promotion.

    Clinical study on infantile anorexia treated by external triple therapy

    Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the external triple therapy (umbilical abdominal warm moxibustion, chiropractic therapy and acupuncture of Sifeng acupoint) for children with anorexia.
    Methods:A total of 60 children with anorexia were admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning TCM University from May 2012 to Feb. 2014. They were randomly divided into two groups: control group (30 cases) and observation group (30 cases).The control group was given Gancao Xin granules for orally taking; the observation group was given the external triple therapy with Chinese medicine in addition to the treatment for the control group. The treatment lasted for 4 weeks for both groups. Observe the effect, scores of major and minor symptoms and changes of urine amylase in the two groups.
    Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%(28/30), higher than that of the control group(73.33%, 22/30), the difference being statistical(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of major symptoms and minor symptoms and level of urine amylase were (5.28±2.92) points, (3.08±1.52) points and (263.42±26.38) U/L, which were better than those of control group[(9.82±2.36) points,(5.64±2.02) points,(202.52±39.26)U/L], and the difference was statistical(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:The external triple therapy is effective in the treatment of infantile anorexia, which can improve symptoms and increase appetite, so it is worthy of popularization.

    Clinical efficacy observation on pediatric functional dyspepsia treated with Simotang oral liquid and Bifico

    Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Simotang oral liquid and Bifico on pediatric functional dyspepsia.
    Methods:According to the random number table, 114 cases of pediatric functional dyspepsia were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, each groups with 57 cases; the control group was treated with Simotang oral liquid, while observation group with Bifico on the base of control group; the effects of two groups were compared.
    Results:After treatment, the effect of observation group was significantly better than control group(P<0.05); the score decrease of poor appetite, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting and loose stool indigestion was greater in the observation group than that of control group(P<0.05); the level increase of gastrin and motilin in the observation group was better than that of control group; the level decrease of nitrogen monoxidum in the observation group was better than that of control group(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:In treating pediatric functional dyspepsia, combined therapy of Simotang oral liquid and Bifico can increase curative effect and improve symptom and is safe, so it is worthy of clinical promotion.

    Objective:To study the clinical effect of Anshen Huatan method combined with Erxue Maidou method in the treatment of ADHD.
    Methods:From October 2012 to October 2015,in Liquan County Family Planning Service Stations 53 cases of ADHD were treated, randomly divided into observation group(26 cases) and control group(27 cases). The observation group was treated by TCM combined with Erxue Maidou method. The control group was treated with pure TCM. Treatment lasted for 3 months. Observe the therapeutic effect of the two groups.
    Results:The total effective rate of observation group was 96.2%(25/26), significantly higher than the control group(66.7%,18/27), the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:Anshen Huatan method combined with Erxue Maidou method has evident therapeutic effect in the treatment of ADHD.

    Objective:To evaluate the effect of ribavirin combined with Chaigui antifebrile granules in the treatment of children with upper respiratory tract infection.
    Methods:Totally 180 children diagnosed with upper respiratory tract infection in our hospital from October 2013 to October 2015 were involved in this research. They were randomly divided into three groups: 60 children in combination therapy group received ribavirin combined with Chaigui antifebrile granules,60 children in western medicine group received ribavirin, and 60 children in Chinese medicine treatment group received Chaigui antifebrile granules. The clinical efficacy was compared in three groups.
    Results:The defervescence time, the time of stopping sniveling and the cure time of combination therapy group were obviously shorter than those in western medicine group and Chinese medicine treatment group(P<0.05).The total effective rate was significantly higher in the combination group(98.3%,59/60) than in Chinese medicine treatment group(85.0%,51/60)(P<0.017).
    Conclusion:Ribavirin combined with Chaigui antifebrile granules is effective in treatment of children with upper respiratory tract infection, and defervescence time, the time of stopping sniveling and the cure time is obviously shorter than medication alone, which is worth being recommended for clinical popularization and application.

    Clinical study on Xiaoer Feire Kechuan granules in treatment of children with bronchitis

    Objective:To evaluate the effects of Xiaoer Feire Kechuan granules for treating children with bronchitis.
    Methods:A randomized controlled trial was conducted. Totally 120 cases of children with bronchitis from Yizheng Hospital,Drum Tower Hospital Group of Nanjing, from February 2014 to February 2015, were studied. They were divided into two groups: the observation group(60 cases) and the control group(60 cases). The observation group was given Xiaoer Feire Kechuan granules combined with routine treatment of western medicine, and the control group was only treated by routine treatment of western medicine, both for 5 days as a course of treatment, then evaluat these two groups of children with  regard to the general curative effect and the time for the treatment to be effective and for symptoms of fever and cough to disappear.
    Results:The curative rate of observation group was 53.33%(32/60) and effective rate was 96.66%(58/60). The curative rate of control group was 33.33%(20/60) and effective rate was 83.33%(50/60), and there were statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.05). The time for the treatment to be effective and for symptoms of fever and cough to disappear in the observation group was statistically shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:Xiaoer Feire Kechuan granules has good effect in relieving cough and fever, and it’s reliable in the treatment of children with bronchitis.

    Objective:To investigate the effect of vidarabine monophosphate combined with Reduning injection in treatment of children with viral pneumonia.
    Methods:Totally 180 cases of children with viral pneumonia in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2015 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 90 cases in each group. On the basis of routine comprehensive treatment, children in observation group were treated with vidarabine monophosphate combined with Reduning injection, and children in control group were treated with ribavirin intravenous drip; after 7 days of continuous treatment, treatment effect, disappearance time of clinical symptoms and signs and adverse reactions of two groups were observed.
    Results:The total efficiency rate of observation group was significantly higher than control group, 98.9%(89/90)vs 82.8%(74/90), the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05). The disappearance time of fever, cough, moist crackles and pharyngalgia in observation group was shorter than control group, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).
    Conclusion:Clinical effect of vidarabine monophosphate combined with Reduning injection is significant in treatment of children with viral pneumonia, which can effectively improve the patient's clinical symptoms and signs, and is better than traditional ribavirin treatment.

Different traditional Chinese medicine was used for treatment according to the patients' physical characyeristics and diseases syndrome features. Treatment based on syndrome differentiation is the first important principle, purgation for sthenia syndrome, cold natured drugs for heat syndrome,and reinforcement and elimination was used in combination. Patient's medication method and food taboo were paid attention to, and the individualized diet and medication was carried out for different patients. Through making full use of traditional Chinese medicine, the curative effect was improved, and the effect was significant.

There are many causes of chronic cough in children, and the main reason is respiratory tract infection, with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection as the main cause, which has shown an increasing trend year by year. Professor Sun Liping believes that the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic cough due to mycoplasma pneumonia is mostly pathogenic heat in the lung and stasis of lung-Qi. Therefore, in syndrome differentiation, Prof. Sun uses the method of cleaning away heat of lung and relieving cough, in which Xiaoke Yin and Radix scutellariae are used to treat chronic cough due to mycoplasma pneumonia, and it achieves good curative effect.

    Primary immune thrombocytopenia(ITP) is one of hemorrhagic disease in children,which can spontaneously relieve with the tendency of recurrence, so clinical treatment is difficult. Prof. Yu Huiping based on nearly 30 years of clinical experience, thinks that pathological basis of the disease is deficiency of vital Qi,and heat and blood stasis has been the symptoms through the disease. Keeping the deficiency of vital Qi as the nature, the heat and blood stasis as the underlying pathogenesis,and combined with the physiological characteristics of children with juvenile Yin and Yang,Prof. Yu has proposed Fuzheng Jiedu therapy in the treatment of ITP. Fuzheng Jiedu therapy, which combines warming Yang and strengthening nature detoxification, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis together,has good clinical curative effect in the treatment of ITP.
