Objective:To investigate the antitussive，expectorant and antiasmatic effects of Zhixiao Pingchuan granule(ZXPC) on animal models.Methods:The ammonia induced cough model in mice，phenol red secreting tests in mice and asthma induced by spraying method in guinea pig were adopted for observing the ZXPC effects of antitussion，expectorant and antiasthma.Results:ZXPC can distinctly protract delitescence and increase musculus tracheal phenol red secretion.ZXPC could effectively proevent guinea pigs from asthma induced by histamine and acteylcholine mixture.Conclusion:ZXPC has significant antitussive，expectorant and antiasmatic effects on animal models.
