Objective:To explore the effect of GanShenShuangPai (SGLD) in eliminating lead.Methods:Lead poisoning model was made by filling the stomach with the acetic lead. All rats were randomly divided into eight groups: LDBS high-dose group,LDBS middle-dose group,LDBS low-dose group,EDTA-CaNa2 group,EDTA-CaNa2+Livona group(combination of western medicine group),Livona group,plumbum dyed model control group and blank control group(normal control group). After all the lead-poisoned rats were treated with medicine for 5 weeks,the change of the concentration of lead in blood, urine and excrement was observed.Results:On reducing the concentration of lead in blood and increasing volume ejection of urine lead,the curative effect decreased from the EDTA-CaNa2+Livona group, to the EDTA-CaNa2 group and then to the Livona group; on increasing the volume of ejection of excrement lead, the curative effect decreased from the EDTA-CaNa2+Livona group to the Livona group and to the EDTA-CaNa2 group.Conclusion:GanShenShuangPai can promote lead discharg from kidney-urinary passage and live-intestinal tract. It reduces the concentration of lead in blood and increases ejection volume of urine and excrement lead.
